![]() ![]() There are 427 loanwords and lexical elements from Urdu, 186 from Punjabi, 145 from Sindhi, 362 from Pashto, and 55 from Balochi. This study consists of a total of 1175 loanwords and lexical elements. These loanwords and lexical elements have been reconfirmed from etymology dictionaries and given alphabetically as a list. This study brought loanwords and lexical elements borrowed from Turkish and Mongolian into Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, and Balochi. There have been approximately 2500 years of mutual linguistic interaction between Turkish and South Asian, especially South West Asian languages. Turks and the Turkish language have been in mutual relations with different languages in wide world geography throughout history. The Turkish equivalents of these elements, which are identified in the Balochi, were scanned in 18 different dictionaries, five various etymology dictionaries, and included in the borrowings list. ![]() These elements were classified as thematically, morphologically, and phonetically. ![]() Words/elements have been identified as a result of our scans. In this study, three Balochdictionaries were scanned in terms of Turkish words and elements. As a result of these interactions, some Turkish words and elements were borrowed into the Baloch language. Hundreds of years have experienced administrative, social, and linguistic interaction between native Baloch-speaking people and Turks coming from outside. Turkish migrants and raiders from Central Asia have also settled in some parts of Balochistan. From time to time, Baluchistan has become part of the Turkish states established in India, such as Kushan and Ghaznavids. In 644, by the fall of Makran in the Umayyad time, came a fundamental change in the Balochi language and literature. The first lirerary works of Balochi literature were given in the Sanskrit period. Balochi, which is a branch of the Indo-Iranian language group, has similarities with Persian and Pashto. Balochs are regarded as Kurdish people by a significant number of historians. ![]()
